Task Assistant Terms of Service
These Terms govern use of the Task Assistant GitHub App (“Task Assistant”, “the App”), provided by Automated Assistant Systems Incorporated (“AAS”, “we”, “us”).
1. Relationship to GitHub
Task Assistant is a third-party GitHub App. Your use of GitHub and GitHub Marketplace is also governed by GitHub’s terms and policies.
2. Authorization and access
Task Assistant uses GitHub App installation tokens and the permissions granted during installation. The App does not require personal access tokens (PATs).
3. Your responsibilities
- Install Task Assistant only in repositories you control or are authorized to manage.
- Review configuration and automation behavior before enabling in production repositories.
- Maintain branch protections and review requirements appropriate for your organization.
- Ensure telemetry repositories are configured to your privacy and retention standards.
4. Telemetry
Task Assistant may emit operational telemetry for auditability and support. Telemetry is written to a dedicated repository configured by the installer. You control access and retention of that repository.
5. Service provided “as is”
Task Assistant is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AAS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App, including repository changes made by automation.
7. Suspension and termination
You may uninstall the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if required for security, legal, or policy reasons, including GitHub policy compliance.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Effective” date reflects the latest revision.
